Welcome to the Sanctuary of the Incarnation. The church you are about to visit is the result of several construction phases between the 14th and 19th centuries. It is a place of veneration and worship for the patrons of Tobarra, the Most Holy Christ of the Antigua and the Virgin of the Incarnation.
It was declared a National Historic-Artistic Monument in 1981. Please remember that you are in a sacred place, so we kindly ask you to maintain due respect and silence. The audio guide you are using is organised into ten stops, corresponding to the main spaces of the sanctuary and its surroundings.
The first eight are inside the building and the last two are outside. Each stop is clearly signposted. If you wish to follow the route in chronological order, beginning with the oldest area, head to the corner opposite this stop zero, beneath the Mudejar coffered ceiling, where you will find stop 1.
